Our Wonderful Okapis
My, my, my, I certainly didn't expect to be setting up a new section of the
web site for Okapi pictures so early, but thankfully Elijah and Jordyn are doing
amazingly well.
For those of you who have visited before and would like to see the pregnancy
section (or those who didn't even know it existed) including any sonograms and the calendar of photos of Giokazta as she
became more and more pregnant, I did not erase it. Feel free to
check it out if you want.
There are a few things you can do now that you are here. [Reminder: While viewing the images in this site, don't forget to put
your mouse over each photo so you can see the captions of the pictures to find
out who is in it and what is going on.]

- How it happened: Read the Giokazta, Jeremy, Elijah
and Jordyn Birthing
Story - an intense week-long experience that was a roller coaster ride of
highs and lows and in betweens. It will not only describe the experience we had
in the hospital but also the development of both Elijah and Jordyn.
- Pictures: Check out our Okapi Gallery collection
including pages of photos of our darling little Okapis.
- Mini-movies: Check out our Okapi Mini-Movie Collection - 20
second mini movies of our newest family members.
- Films: Check out our brand new Okapi Film
Festival -
- Growth: Find out how they are developing in
terms of weight and height.
- Perspective: Do you want to see the one picture that will
put how small they were when they were born in perspective?
- New home: Check out pictures of the
home we are buying in Baldwin, Long Island (though, of course, since it is not ours yet you're
technically seeing the insides of a stranger's home - but they were nice
enough to let me take pictures).
- Okapis: If you haven't been here before (or just plain forget), find out why we refer
to them as Our Okapis.
